Welcome to the USAFpatches.com Gallery, the centerpiece of this website featuring over 30,000 embroidered, leather, PVC and silk-screened patches patches representing organizations, exercises, competitions, classes, weapon systems, and installations from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Space Force and its predecessor organizations. While the Gallery is one of the most comprehensive compilations of U.S. Air Force patches available, it is by no means complete. The patches pictured are only a small percentage of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force patches that exist. Gallery images come from the Webmaster’s or visitor’s personal collections. For more information on the gallery, please go the Gallery Overview.

DONATIONS OF ACTUAL PATCHES ARE ACCEPTED AND APPRECIATED, PLEASE VISIT THE DONATION PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

 8th Equipment Maintenance Squadron
From Wayne 98445: These were issued at Kunsan AB Korea in Dec 1977. I was their at Kunsan when these were issued. We had to have them on our uniforms by the end of Jan 78. We wore these for 4 or 5 months and then were directed to remove them from our uniforms, as Air Force approval was not given before the patch was issued. The patch did not have the correct colors in it per AFR's. Their was no such thing as an EMS Squadron in Thailand. The emergence of AGS/EMS/CRS Squadron's came to be in 1976 per AFR 66-5 (POMO, later COMO). The 8th TFW pulled out of Ubon Thailand in 1974 and redeployed to Kunsan AB Korea. That is where this patch originated from and when it was created to be put on USAF uniforms. Didn't last long. I still have some of these patches. We also wore orange baseball caps with black lettering. We were allowed to put our hometown on the side, the years and locations we served overseas on the other side, and our names on the back.
