THE USAFpatches.com Gallery has a separate gallery search which enables you to quickly find a patch. There are several methods of search:

1) Unit/other designation search. Type the full unit designation without abbreviations in the search box (e.g. - "1st Fighter Wing", "6922d Electronic Security Squadron", etc). You can also search for general unit types (e.g. - "Fighter Squadron", "Division", etc). For ordinals (i.e. -- "st", "nd", rd", "th"), please use "d" instead of "rd" (e.g. - "6922d Electronic Security Squadron"). Check the box next to Unit/Other Designation", uncheck all other boxes and click search.

2) Inscription search. Type the phrase, word(s) or number(s) that you are looking for on a patch into the search box (e.g. - "VIGILIAS AGIMUS", "NO KA OI", etc). Check the box next to Inscription, uncheck all other boxes and click search. If you are unsuccessful in finding the correct patch, try searching for a smaller part of the inscription.

3) Location, state and/or country search. Type the name of the base, state and/or country into the search box. Do not use abbreviations except for "AB, AFB, AFS, ANGB, AS, IAP, JB, NAS, RAF, SFB, SFS" (e.g. - "Buckley", "Arizona", "Dyess AFB, Texas", "United Kingdom", "RAF Mildenhall", etc). Check the box next to Base, uncheck all other boxes and click search.

4) Combination search. This is the most powerful way to search and will give you the fewest results. For example, if you are looking for a squadron in Arkansas but you do not remember the designation, type "squadron Arkansas" into the search box, check the boxes next to Unit/Other Designation and Base, uncheck all other bozes and click search. You can try various search combinations to find the patch you are seeking.
